I would like to have as many people respond to this as possible.
Have you been rejected or had to have special permission to set up at a RV park due to the age of your camper or RV? I have an idea on this subject and needed input from owners.
Thank you very much.

In one application I was asked the age of my unit and the application also said include a picture if its over 10 years old. Mines over 10 yrs old but on the application I "accidentally" transposed a couple figures or something like that SILLY ME and when I arrived they never even asked or looked outside or anything, all they were interested in was my payment.
THAT BEING SAID If they are the type of people who don't want me then I sure don't want to be around them in the first place and why should I give them my money, especially beg them to take it, they can kiss my grits as far as I'm concerned. Also if that's the case the people in the park would likely be snobs and look down their noses at you so why would you want to even give them your hard earned dollars and business. The ONLY reason I still stayed at that park was it was so close to where my daughter lived in Austin Texas while the others were so far away.
Of course, the owner has every right to accept or reject anyone that's his choice and I'm NOT a fan of big brother government passing a law that forces him to allow my unit. He made his choice and I can make mine

Thank you for your reply. The reason I asked this is because where I live out of the four places, only one would accept my year of RV. That is pretty sad. The ones that were there were very high end RV's and 5th wheels. Well, if my RV is not good enough for them, well neither is my money.
I have come across Numerous RV parks with a year limit. California is real good at setting limits. The so called RV resorts say your rig cannot be older then 5 years, because they don't want RIFF RAFF roaming around the park. In one instance I was at Pismo Beach's *finest Rv park resort. On my second night, the manager knocked on my door at 8:00 PM and asked me to move my trailer over to the State park because The age of my trailer was making the Hunert bazzillion dollar motor coach owners NERVOUS.
The manager said it would be proper for me to pull out when it was dark so the Coach owners wouldnt really see how old my rig was. He even said he would pay my state park fees for the duration of my stay.
REALLY?????? I told the manager he can kiss something and I'm not moving.. Im fully paid up till the end of the month and still have 27 days left.
Later that evening around 10:30, State police show up along with Sherriffs dept, to **Escort me off the grounds. The reason was the Hunert bazzillion dollar motorcoach owner on either side of me were nervous having me parked between them with such an OLD RV.
In my photo's you can see, It's not a P.O.S. And it happens to look pretty good for a 30 year old rig.
I can see if I had rolled up in a old beater with screens dangling and a window a/c unit teetering out the side and a ragged awning blowing in the wind. and a tarp tied to the roof cuz of the leaking roof.
I obliged them and left the park. On the way out, a 1959 or 1960ish box trailer came in and was greeted with open arms, because the owner was driving a cadillac escalade towing it, and had money to burn in his pockets.
Several other RV parks see me pull in and have NO problem with letting me stay, and complimenting how clean my Trailer is.. These are the RV parks I enjoy staying at.. They don't judge you by the age of your rig.
On the upside note... One of the Hunert Bazzillion dollar motorcoach owners had to have his Diamond Gem motorcoach towed out of park for repairs.. Ha Ha Ha Ha,,, Let him look down his nose at me now,,, I'm still mobile, and burning up asphalt while his Rv is getting reapired.
You handled it so much better than I. I would have ended up in jail. Or maybe left the park, got some pictures of the camper coming in, found out how long it stayed and sewed them. Actually, I would have done the first statement. Someone sticks their nose up at me, they may not have one. Good job man, you did well.
Really... "leave at NIGHT"? I think I probably would have acted in a way I later regretted ;-)
99% of the RV parks Ive stayed at wanted to visualy see the RV due to the age.... California restricts it to no older then 5 yrs old. Very picky and snobby, especially if you dont have a trillion dollar motorcoach mcmansion.
I check web sites for the RV parks we plan to stay at to see if they have age restrictions, if they do I just by pass them. I refuse to give my money to a shite don't stink place, I like being with common folks. I have not seen a riff raff outfit in a trailer park, they mostly stay at walmart and other such free parking places.
It is getting old and a worse problem. Yes, I can understand that non maintained units can be horrible about leaking fluids, and looking like rolling trash, but if they are in very good shape you should be good.HHHHMMMM start up a camp ground that won't allow anything newer then 15 years old. Now wouldn't that be funny?
Those places don't need my money, my business or the pleasure of my company.
