While at NASCAR a couple of weeks ago, some friends had brought some other friends that I hadn't met before. One guy there had gotten out of the camping hobby and had a new-ish Coleman Road Trip grill that he wanted to sell. I've been eyeing those up for a while, and this was a perfect excuse to commit. It wasn't a smoking deal, but I saved $60 over the cost of a new one.

I picked it up today and hooked it up to the Allegro's propane supply. The longest hose I could find was only 12-feet. A couple more feet would have been ideal, but I can still get it a few feet from the side of the RV by running it underneath (my propane tank is on the "wrong" side).

I've read people having trouble using propane adapters for this purpose because there are 2 regulators (one at the RV tank and the other on the the grill). But the Extend-a-stay (third pic) installs ahead of the RV's regulator. It works great!

It folds flat enough that I can jam it in one of the storage compartments underneath.

Congratulations Jim, that's a nice set up, I wouldn't mind having that to tag along. I'm quickly running out of place's to stuff stuff  though. maybe have to let something else stay behind. Maybe one of the boys for instance. LOL  just kidding they're the reason I got into this in the first place.

Thanks! Funny thing is that when I ordered the 12' propane hose, Amazon said I had already ordered one last year. I don't remember doing that and had no idea that if I had ordered one, where it would be now. I was cleaning out the storage compartment and what did I find? A new, in the package 12' propane hose. Good news is that I can string them together. Now I can put the grill pretty much anywhere I want!

And on the storage thing, I need to clean out under my beds in the back. There's storage in there but I had to tear some of the trim off to get at the frozen water lines. I never did put it back together. And I have to build a cage around the load-leveling pump that I installed. It gets hot. Being able to use that space again would be ideal.

That is a spiffy model for sure. My 5er  came with one as a dealer incentive and I used it off and on for years till it succumbed to use and abuse. Many many burned dogs and burgers,, But was great cooking outside, Didnt have to use the stove inside. I did suggest to others when they get these to get an extension hose. My hose was short and being that close to the siding made me worry about melting the side of the RV.

I had installed an extension 10 foot and it worked great..I know you will enjoy all the burgers and dogs for a long time with your new *TOY.  Excellent investment, and at a discount..
