Change of plans

After the gully washer last night, we had to alter our plans for today.  The bed the grandson slept on was soaking wet from rain leaking through the front AC unit, the same unit that the RV dealer re-sealed 3 times--obviously they still did not get the job done right.  

Anyway, instead of spending the day sight seeing Hannibal MO we came for home, got here at 7:30 and found the house at 92 degrees.  Something is wrong with the HVAC unit or the duct work so will call the repairman tomorrow and hope they can get out here ASAP.  We bought a window unit for the mean time, our daughter already had a window unit for her bedroom as it would never cool off in there.  So she and Berniece will be fine for tonight, Grandson and I will be warm but will get the window unit installed tomorrow morning and that should hold us till the HVAC repairman can get here.

Will have a busy day tomorrow with AC install, dr visit, unloading U-Haul, emptying MH, etc.  This is the worst part of coming home, all the shuffling of stuff from MH to house.  Would be nice if DW would just go along with living in the MH and visiting everyplace else instead of the other way around. Sorry to hear of the problems with AC Russell. the last thing you need after a long haul is to come home to problems. I thought my AC unit was down a few weeks ago. I had went off to visit the boys and as always I turned up the AC to save on electric bill. I came home and dropped  the temp back down and all I got for AC air was the fan. After being hot all day and not making progress getting cooler I went down to the basement and pulled all the breakers related to the AC unit and reset them. in short order the AC was back up and I've not had any problem since. I later found out that we had a bad storm and the AC went into lock out. I think due to low voltage from a brown out kind of event during that storm.  Anyway not knowing your system  or if you already tried this I thought I would mention it.  have a good nights sleep and a good day tomorrow / Today i guess.

Boy howdy, when it rains it really does pour sometimes. Glad you got home safe. Not sure if you know about it, or if your taking the MH back to dealer, but there is an Elastomeric roof coating that can be applied wet or dry. I know ceiling leaks can be hard to figure out. Good Luck!

I am going to pull the AC unit as the ceiling is rotted.  going to replace cross members and insulation and put up new ceiling inside the MH.  With tearing everything apart, I should have a better chance of finding where the leak (or leaks) is and get it sealed up properly.

Hope things go smooth emptying the uhaul and RV. And with the a/c system for hope I minor and ya get your cool air back. Glad you had a good trip and everyone is safe.
