Ok yall i need some help my entry door latch broke and i had to kick the door open to get out. After about 3 hours i found out all i had to to was straight a lever and then push it down and the door opened. Now the latch is a pile of scrap and i can not locate one, can anybody point me to where i mite find one under $100 the salvage yard in Arizona must have a solid gold one they are only place i can reach via telephone and they want $200 for a used one plus shipping. all the other salvage places you need to use Skype to call and i don't use Skype for a phone. That is where my problem comes in at, this is what it looked like

Just from the pictures Robert, it looks like a standard form factor that you can go to an RV dealer and get a modern new one. (albeit they are in the hundred dollar range as well) Try googling PPL Motor home parts. It's a camper parts supplier similar to camping world. I have bought from them in the past and find them to be reputable. Also Try reaching out to Jimco_W001 he is all things Winnebago"s or, others in the Winnebago owners group linked at the top of the page. good luck!

Thanks for the lead Rich but did not find one even close to it. did locate the manufacture in Rockford ILL and called them and they say it is no-longer in production but they have a updated replacement kit they are double crossing to see if its the same will post results when i hear back from them

No problem Robert, they had one that fit my 78 Travelcraft I thought it looked a lot like yours only black, good luck with the Rockford deal I hope it pans out for you.

Rich the diff is the post or pin
on my winne got a door jam pin like on a car
the latches on ppl have pin latches like on a house door lock

Rich i just up loaded a poc of the door jam with pin and
the door edge with catch in it

Robert, I spent some time on E-bay looking for salvaged or nos but ran out of time before my eye lids slammed shut. I get on there every once and a while looking for 16" wheels for my rig never found anything for either one of us but I will keep looking around.

i do the same thing since i bought this relic  and like you not found a thing for any winnebago either

Hi Robert, did you find a replacement door latch for your Winnebago?

Jimco_W001 I found one close to it on ebay last night thanks to a link Erica Greenwood sent to me, why what did you have in mind ?

We went to look at a 1977 Itasca that had a similar handle.  Seems most between 1970-90 have that same or similar latch.  First thing my husband did was pull the door shut and snap off the handle.  I found a similar listing on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Inside-Plate-Handle-Entry-Door-Black-WINNEB...).  It wasn't exactly the correct model but I called their number as suggested on the item.  The saleswoman was very knowledgeable and was able to find the handle part I needed for only $39.95 + shipping.
