Now at Singing Hills RV park and campground in Cave city Kentucky.
Nessie was pulling the car fine running 65 to 70 mph today with no issues. On the way up to Ohio she would not get over 65 and between Ohio and Michigan she about quit. Turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. Threw my spare on and back on the road better than before. She ran a little warm a couple times but never overheated.
So glad to see the old Travcos finding new homes and people to love them. Our Travco found a new home and family that wants to restore her. We have many happy memories of traveling in the Smoky Mountains with her. Enjoy :-)
Thanks Jim. We are not done fixing it up yet but we are using it. Not quite a restoration as we are updating quite a bit of the interior.
Over 1800 miles traveled in the old girl in a week. Man I need to fix that header leak.
Just an off the cuff question,,,,, Are those a set of HELA's driving lights?
Yes they are. 7" Hella driving lights. Hella H-4 headlights and Bosch foglights under the bumper.
Thought they looked familiar,, I have the 7 inch Hela's also,,, 1.75 mile projection beam,,, great for oncomming traffic with high beams,,lol They are nice,, they dont get hot,,, run them all night, and shut them off and you can still put your hand on the glass and they are just warm.
They do work well, especially here in the dark corners of Georgia.
So Nessie has no trouble pulling a hitch hiker?
Not at all. Nessie is rated to tow up to 10,000 lbs so 4500 between the Journey and the dolly is not an issue.
