hello all, my camper is a 26 foot class C motorhome. on a chevy 30 frame with a 1985 350 engine. i bought if from a person that bought if from someone else. the problem i have is there are two heater hoses coming out of the left firewall that have been cut off. i traced the hoses back under the dash board as far as i can go without taking off the dash. i don't know if they go to the heater core or not. can anyone tell me if there is an auxiliary heater somewhere in the camper. or is it someones idea of the joke before selling it to someone else. you know, try figuring out where these go. i have been on truck sites trying to get info on this. no luck. anyone please help. i will thank you forever

There heater hoses and your heater core is high up under the dash.

Lakota Wolf, i should have explained a little further. i also have two hoses coming from the heater core on the right side going to the manifold and the water pump. everything on the right side of the truck is working fine. the problem is does the two cut heater hoses feed a second heater core fed by the engine coolant somewhere in the back of the camper.

I have a G30 chassis class C that also has the 350 engine. It had a dealer installed air conditioner and those two hoses went from the AC compressor to the under dash AC unit. Mine are cut off at the fire wall as the PO removed the AC system because it was an inefficient power robbing gas steeling... well you get the idea. The 350 with the RV cam and the old school Quadra-jet on a good day gets about 6 miles to the gallon. I suspect you are looking at the same deal where some PO removed the AC compressor and just wacked the hoses going through the fire wall to the AC coils.

thank you all so much for your input. the mystery is solved.

Rich Thomas sounds logical.

Most excellent observation, I go with AC hoses after rereading and understanding what Rich explained.
