I just bought myself my first travel trailer. I plan on living in it in my backyard. I want to fix it up and hope to eventually travel in it. I also like being self sufficient and intend to live off grid eventually. I am no spring chicken and my arthritis reminds me any time I forget and get too enthusiastic about a project. This is the beginning of a new life for me.

Trailer life in my backyard

I am so glad I live in California this winter. We may have experienced extremely unusual cold temps, but at least they haven't dipped into the minus numbers. I got pretty cold in this trailer at night, but it was manageable.

I also fund a small blessing in not having been able to figure out how to hook this trailer up to a water hose. One night I forgot to cover my garden faucet and the manifold and garden hose froze. The manifold split. I am sure I would have experienced the same…

Sparrow's 1973 Auto-Mate, a new life for both of us.

I have been living in my new to me 1973 Auto Mate Travel Trailer for a few weeks now. I am so new to rv living it isn't funny. I have never slept in an rv til this year.

Neccessity required me to be creative with my living situation and I bought my travel trailer and parked in my own back yard to live in. I am renting out my house.
