hello, I want to put wood flooring in my 40 foot bounder rv.under the floor I want to put electric floor heating pads. my question is can I hook up the floor heating thermostat to existing furnace thermostat power wires?this way I wont need a dedicated power line put in for new floor heating pads.obviously I wont be using gas furnace anymore, just want to no if I can steal furnace thermostat power wires to hook up new heating pads thermostat. any ideas?

Your existing furnace wiring wont handle the additional LOAD.  You will need to run a *dedicated wire to feed the floor heaters. But just a note* why would you need floor heaters in an RV? (besides the obvious,,living full time)? Your adding weight, PLUS adding something else that can bring about problems down the road.

Most *Furnace wires are 12 VOLT,, to spin the heaters *squirrel cage motor.

thanks, yeah im taking out carpet and putting down wood flooring heating pads go under floor to heat floor.
