I acquired this little camp stove that operates with LP Gas. It did not come with the cans for fueling it, and the modern ones won't fit.

My option seems to be to create a new fixture, or replace the connection and the line in some way, but have no clue where to get such things.  Has anyone out there ever had to deal with this sort of thing?

Looks like the adapter/hook up is attached via a flare fitting. So, I'd look for a new bottle fitting that has a provision for that flare fitting. Looks like a 3/16" line with a 3/8" flare nut. Been browsing the interwebs but haven't found a specific part to do that....yet.

Thanks for looking anyway.  I think tomorrow I'll go to a place nearby that supplies plumbers and other people who might work with gas, and see what they might have to say. wish me luck!

Good luck. I've found places that understand (or at least don't question) my motivation to reuse some older stuff, adapt it and make it work again. "Why don't you just buy a new one?" will come up but with that flange nut I'd bet you could get a new adapter and maybe a coupling to make it work. You could even see if you could replace the entire line to the burner but I'd start with that connector first.

Whatever you do... safety first.  Sometimes you can make things work OK, only to find it later blows up in your face... If you can find an old camp stove, just change over the fitting so it fits the propane cylinder... good luck! Be safe...

I've found a few such places, too.  So far I've still had no luck finding the fix for this loittle stove.  No rush, I'll just keep looking.
