How to add a city water connection

We purchased a 1974 Prowler and are enjoying fixing it up.  We found the gravity fill easily, but there doesn't seem to be a city water inlet - I've heard that older RVs might not have them, but that they are fairly easy to install.  Has anyone done this, or have any ideas on how to do it?

You are correct about some RV not having a city water connection hook up. It all depended on what the customer wanted etc. Now a Vast majority of RV's Did and DO have city water hookups. I have come across a few that had them actually hidden,,, instead of being outside where they are supposed to be. I have even found a water connection in an outside storage compartment,,, Not the best place for it,, but that where I found it,, Now by chance you dont have a city water hook up,, They are realtively easy,, By tapping into your main water line (From ) your on board fresh water tank with a one way check valve,, as to not over fill the tank when city water is turned on.
