Thanks RICH, being a Travco owner, this information is informative to all Travco owners. At least it gives us a starting place to resolve these issues of up-grades or resolution of safety issues that the original Travco companies foresaw  as a safety necessity.

Any assistance of rear-end or brake upgrades also can be addressed by "  strangeengineering.net /catalogsearch/result/?q=brake   "...

Thanks for the invite..may my advice be sound, my limitations acknowledged

Thanks for helping out Rich.I don't trust a craigslist ad unless it has a local phone number in the listing.Plus if its to good to be true it probably isn't.

    Hi Rich,

We used to have a 1970's Trailblazer, we recently sold it,  and I found the Trailblazer Logo that was on the Awning.   I've placed it on an auction on e-bay starting bid 99 cents and wanted to advertise it here also.   Its not in the best shape,  but its a start for someone that needs it .  Can I do that?

We currently have a 1992 Gulfstream which is new to us, but not a vintage trailer.   We enjoy camping where it is quiet like the National Forest campgrounds,  not the developed ones.

    Thanks

    Fred & Laurie

    Thanks RIch,
I'm in process of restoring. 49 little ceasar and would like information for window manufactures for the common style of window made for this period of camper.
    Any direction would be appreciated.

    Hello Rich

Thanks for the welcome. We've obtained a 69 Travco, 27ft. It's in pretty good shape, interior is nice. It set up for a couple of years so we're trying to get her running again. Just started the engine today, couple of valves stuck I think but it runs good. Also the Kohler 4 cylinder generator doesn't have spark. Suspect the magneto.  Well enough, glad to be a part of ,'Good Old RV's

  • Todd

Todd here. I am so happy to find an active blog about trailers as opposed to the ones which were last commented on before lint was created. I have what I think is 1968 or 1969 Nomad trailer. What do you think?

  • Beverly Arnold

Hi Rich and Thank you. I

If anyone has any knowledge on Vintage Sprite trailers of knows Jo's I might be able to locate info on them,it would be a blessing. I have surfed the net for days and  don't find a lot

  • Peter Steilberg

    Thanks Rich!  Nice rigs.

I dream of one day having an  early Travco built up like William Shatners with 4x4.  Right now I have a sportsmobile van -- well used.  I am looking for a travco presently.

    I love the old Broncos.

  • Mike Peterson

Thank you Rich! Appreciate your welcome....

LOL... I have heard that saying before Rich, just a bit different.  "Well your handier than"  " a shirt on a pocket"...  LOL...!i I wonder if anyone has written a Camper Sayings book yet?

  • Ellen Pierce

Thanks Rich for the words of encouragement and welcoming me aboard. This is a new adventure for me, but looking forward to it.  All suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated.  Ellen Pierce

Thank you! I just bought a 1976 Fleetwood Terry travel trailer and I'm renovating it. Has a couple of roof leaks. Don't have damaged floors yet though. So I'm pretty sure it's worth the $630 I paid for it. It is to me anyway. Can't wait to take it out.
  • Garth Pittman

Thank you, Rich.  I really appreciate your thoughtful welcome note.  I am a bit nervous about all this as I have sunk $ into a 30 year old RV, but I am hopeful it will work okay.  I do not do well traveling as a rule, but the idea that I can bring my home with me is very exciting.  I am going to take your example to heart and start slowly to gain confidence in my camper, as you say.

I look forward to being a member of this site.  I think it is really going to help.

    Thanks, Garth

  • ann jeghers

    Thanks Rich!

I'm sure I'll post questions as well as pictures.

Weather permitting, my hubby & I will be traveling down to Southern Ca.tomorrow (fri)to pick up a '64 Terry and bring it back the next day. It has a little wood rot from a leak, but has most of its original parts! It was a steal at $1350.00!

  • Martin van der Meer

Thank you Rich, This is the Travco 270 the first one in the Netherlands. In 2016 we realize a total restoration (interior / exterior).  I will keep the Travco group informed and asked them for information when necessary . Kind Regards Martin

Thanks for your friendly welcome . I got 2 old RVs 1. Tejas Pickup camper 2. 75 Winnebago Brave . I just uploaded my first picture just 2 days old, a 2 day ski trip in my Winnebago, 100 miles from my home.

  • Tom McNally

Thanks for the welcome Rich. I saw that post by "Blaze" regarding the Scenics at Tejas coachworks. That's what prompted me to join the site. I do love early trailers. We have a 1967 Aloha 12' that we use for camping. I am trying to upload a 285KB JPEG for my profile photo, but it does not seem to work. I keep getting an error message. Thoughts? Take care

    Tom

I haven't figured out how to add pictures. We were told it no longer leaks I know pack paneling has to be replaced but roof an floor seem solid, I will try to figure out how to put pictures.
    Thank you
  • Bonnie Hunter

Thank you Rich for the welcome.  And that's a great idea about cutting the back and shortening it up.  I still want to use the drop down for the bed but a coupe of inches won't matter on that. I'm looking forward to this and will take pictures as work progresses.

  • SLEETH

    thanks for the welcome
