Most likely you will have to change the axle to get the backing plate and drums.

Hi Angelina, go to www.etrailer.com and get in contact with them. They should have everything you need to add electric brakes and will tell you what you need. They are very helpful. They set me up with what I needed for my tow dolly as it had no brakes either.
