I'm 60+ with a couple of heart surgeries within the last 5 years and my wife is disabled with stage IV cancer. I want to be a bit more mobile to get her to the rivers and mountains more often while she is still with me. Also, want to make a trip to Washington for her to see her relatives. This year may be the last opportunity for that.

Boondocking it!

Learning all kinds of terms of late. Residency, Domicile etc.

I currently reside, domicile, live in Montana. I am a "Full Time RV'r " With no address. YIIKES!!! I guess that can be an issue with the governments.

I would love to stay a resident of Montana but, I see most people change to a more friendly "residency" state like SD, FL, and TX. I want to keep my wife's plates on this MH (since she picked out the picture) and I…

Motor home dead.

Oh, Man. I got to the end of the block this morning and :( . Stopped and Won't start back up. Saw some fuel coming from the fuel pump so I replaced it. Works great but, still won't start. Now, I don't see a spark at all. Have power to the coil when ignition is on.

Any ideas?

Latest news

I'm sorry to say that on Sept. 28, 2015 Lura, my better half for over 41yrs, lost her battle against cancer. She never did get to make a trip in her motor home because she was just too sick during the last few months and had to be in for treatments every week. She did go out and sit in it a couple of times and made plans for the trip to visit family. Today we are going to take her ashes up to the mountains in her motor home. Do some fishing and then we'll put her to rest. Definitely not the…

1980 Dodge sportsman Motor Home

We just looked at an interesting Motor Home. Looks like it will run out good and interior is very usable and price is excellent ($500) . But, the tires are very old and it hasn't been run long time for about 10 yrs.

I suspect it will need 6 new tires and wheels probably. 8.00 x 16 LTS . Does anyone know what would be the best tire / wheel combo? And, maybe best cost?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Sorry to hear about your wife's cancer.  Making the most of her time is most important right now, I hope you find what you are looking for in a MH and at a price you can live with.

BTW My wife and I are originally from Deer Lodge, we got married and left MT in 1974.  41 years and counting.
