I'm sorry to say that on Sept. 28, 2015 Lura, my better half for over 41yrs, lost her battle against cancer. She never did get to make a trip in her motor home because she was just too sick during the last few months and had to be in for treatments every week. She did go out and sit in it a couple of times and made plans for the trip to visit family. Today we are going to take her ashes up to the mountains in her motor home. Do some fishing and then we'll put her to rest. Definitely not the same but, will have to do.
Your friend,
Paul

Thanks everyone for keeping me and mine in your prayers and thoughts. We are plugging along. And, I am trying to stay busy. But, my mind wanders too much to be of any use. I am trying to be of use to the family. The girls are having there first major meltdowns and I'm taking one in to dr for some medical and psychological help. I am back in the caregiving biz it seems. Hardest thing now is we have to get some income coming in. I hate looking for a job. That's why I was self employed most of my life. :)
Anyhow, we're keeping on. Oh, and I need to 'winterize' Lura's MH. More expense but, next spring I will be using it a lot!!!!
Thank you again for your comments and prayers.
Paul
Our hearts go out to you and yours during this trying time. Smoke and Songs will be sent on the wind for a peaceful journey to the next world and for strength and love for you. John and Danalee
Oh, the MH wouldn't accelerate. It would move around at about 10mph but that was it. I'll post more about that in a different thread.
Paul
Thanks you all for your support and prayers. We didn't make the trip in the MH. All we can figure is that she didn't want us to use all that money for fuel when the mini-van would get 4 or 5 times better mileage. But, we did get the trip in. Beautiful area and I think Lura would have loved it. We had six of the seven children there and their significant others. Also had 5 of the 8 grandkids. Was a very interesting trip.
Now to get back to the business of living.
Paul, you and your family have my deepest condolences. I will be praying for you and your family as you all go through the grieving process and learning a whole new way of life. Having half of yourself die is one of the toughest things to go through, and there will be many dark days ahead. I hope your fishing trip is successful and you find some closure.
My condolences for your lost,,Our prayers from the wife and I to you and your family.
