I recently wrote about Habitat for Humanities RV Care-A-Vanners and what you can do with an RV. Well to go one step further, if you have access to a motor coach, you can signup with Angel Bus as a driver.

I put two basement thermo pane windows in the plywood walls where the original bus windows were. This required the cutting of a metal stud that supports the wall & roof of the bus. This isn't something I wanted to do as I didn't have access to a welder. I did install angle iron braces across the top of the window, supported them on either side with upright pieces of 2X2… Continue

I started this transformation by pulling all the old flooring up and sanding the floor. It was in relatively good condition so it didn't take long. There were, luckily, no holes to patch. I then painted the floor with chain link fence paint.
Here is a picture after the paint was put down. I did two coats.… Continue

I am new to the Site and wanted to introduce myself and our vintage rv. We purchased (new to us) a 1988 27ft. motorhome and we are currently painting and fixing it up. I look forward to sharing our photos as we work thru our remodeling, as well as enjoying looking at your photos and learning from you.
I've included a few photos of how the rv looked when we first brought her home. Here she is:… Continue

Myrtle made it to her first car show, which was just for vintage RV's. There were about 13 units at the show. It was mostly trailers; including a few airstreams and shastas. As well there were two vintage bus conversions. Myrtle was the only motorhome! Many people toured Myrtle and complimented her vintage interior. We are hopeful to attend some more car shows in the future.

We took Myrtle out for her maiden voyage; camping at a provincial park 250 kms away. She made the round trip journey easily! She was terrific to camp in and drew a lot of attention from people passing by. Her solar power and plumbing was terrific. Her fridge and stove are not yet hooked up but that's next on the list.… Continue

As luck would have it, I was talking (whining) about trying to repair or find a replacement 318 poly exhaust manifold at a local parts store, and one of the staff mentioned having a 1965 318 at home. He called the next day with the manifold removed and we bought it for $60.00. It lines up with the old manifold and should hopefully be a good fit. From the photos you can see the new and old… Continue
