Refer leveling

When I was a youngster, there was a running joke. Three things you dont do: sword fight with Zorro, pee in the wind, or mess with me! Well there is the three things you dont do with an RV. Dont let her leak. Dont forget to winterize. And dont runthe refer out of level. Get an appliance level. I like the small square one with the green fluid. Place this onthe freezer shelf. Half the volume of the bubble( 2/3 diameter) in the circle anytime the fridge is on and your stationary more than 1/2 hour.… Continue

Weight distibution hitches (round bar)

I'm going to keep this simple as I can. I want to cover the round bar weight distribution hitch. The square bar are trickier to adjust ...you can google your instructions if you wish. Timer style: these controls are timer based. you basically set 2 features; overall gain, and delay. When the brake is depressed far enough to activate the stop lights, the controller activates. You set the delay for the… Continue

Waterline repair

I did a search and did not find anything on this subject. I thought it would be good to share some ideas and tips, and open the topic for discussion. I am a fan of the new PEX waterline. Its supposed to be good to 50 degrees below and I have yet to see a failure. Though I would still winterize it. I personally like "flair-it" fittings. They need no special tools and are trouble free from my experience. There are o-ring style fittings available too but ive had issues with these in the past. I… Continue
