I'm going to be heading out to work on the cabover this morning for a bit. Thunder in the distance, but it looks like it's going to roll north of me. Darn...need the rain here.
While I was having my cuppa's this morning I was looking around at upholstery fabrics. I thought I might stick with color schemes that go with the striping on the RV, blues and teals.
Here's a color combo choice I am mulling over, the dark plain color would be for the main seat cushions and the lighter patterned would be for the pillow backs and such. Let me know your thoughts if you like or no like. :) I'm not much of an interior design person, but I want something that's going to hold up well and be easy cleaning.....and cheap enough that I have spare fabric in case of a major tear or boo boo.
The patterned one has some other colors to it that I can compliment with other accessories too.

Excellent find - yeah, don't deal with the old stuff if it is at all questionable!! We were really pleased the zippers on the cushions were almost like new. I don't even know what you call that braid with the snap/clips to have looked for it, so I guess it's alright. Can't see it on the other side, just felt a little "po", you know? LOL.
er....nylon. LOL
Unfortunately the metal zippers on the old cushions have degraded. I won't be able to use them.
So....isn't this just the handiest thing? Cut to size nylong zippers!

Well Dawn, I am the same way with piping. LOL I just know I have a piping foot for my sewing machine somewhere in the drawers here. That is going to come in handy. We'll see how it goes.
That is going to look really nice Tina.
Yep, I can see why you are pleased - very nice all put together - that's going to look sharp.
I just finished the second set of loft curtains and in retrospect am not loving my choice. The color is greener than I realized (and I picked it out in person!) and the cotton is just, well, boring. I like lush fabrics. But, I was trying to save money. Maybe it will be okay once up, everything painted and the bedding in which I haven't chosen yet. Get a little crazy with that and then you won't notice the curtains!!!
I will say I never want to make them again anytime soon. Reusing the old braid was the most unsatisfying process - nary a straight line on any of my seams!
That is pretty material, after seeing this photo, I agree with everyone else, you made the best choice.
The fabric is here, and I am pleased as punch with it. The colors are exactly as I expected.
This morning I dug out some old drab green drapery curtains and they go well with the colors. I'll trim the top of the curtains with some eggshell color lacy curtains...maybe and then trim out the draperies with some of the new fabric. Still rolling around the design on those.
This some of the fun part. :)
Looking forward to seeing the results!! My sewing has been languishing...LOL
oops, correction...the upper RIGHT patterned fabric.
