Howdy Howdy all,, Its been a busy weekend,,, and I noticed Maintenance was busy here fixing this that and the other and still did not get the new wet bar and jaccuzzi installed,, ugg,, maybe next update,,
The F/B page has been busy,,, Ive talked with a few members there, (screening them of course,, we want fine decent upstanding folks to enjoy our company of friends,, No scammers etc,).
Anyyyyyy Who.... I finally got off my lazy butt and got to fixin the blower motor on the ole diesel.. It seemed it just a wasnt blowing very hard out the a/c vents,, which in Texas is a MUST HAVE.. Cuz if ya aint got a/c,, ya just might as well stay home inside. Not complaining that it can get hot down these parts,, But the Devil himself has to rent himself a room with a/c,, cuz even he says its hot,,So if that gives you an idea,, there ya go. Ok anywho's,,, I take the blower motor out,, after getting the windshield resivor out of the way and tying back the heater hoses and a cluster of miscl, wires and such,, and I takes a looky inside the blower compartment,, Wow,,thats a big hole, (Think home alone 2 when the bad guy standing over that hole in the floor). Now apparently, by my assumptions,,something at sometime flew up from underneath and hit the compartment,, and hit it hard,, cuz it knock a biggy ole hole right through the bottom, Now I know where all that blown air was going,, right down onto the front wheel,, Oh yea,, fergots to mention there is a biggy ole hole in the inner fender well to, and I lean back and again say, Wow,, thats a big ole hole there, Now I had to ponder as how that hole got there. Now I brushed off the notion that maybe critters had done it, as an emergency escape hole just in case they had to evacuate quickly.
And then I thought,, maybe it was that jack-a-lope That I clipped on a long stretch of Tx roadways,, then thought again,, naw,, them guys have horns,, it would have blowed the tire out.. I was in a pickle thinking how that got there.. Well, I was burning daylight and got to figuring a way to fix that,, cuz a man needs his a/c,, just no way around that,, Plus it dont look classy having a window a/c duct taped and dangling out the passenger side window,, not to mention having to run an extension cord down the side to a generator in the back,, So,, I got some sheet metal out and cominced to cutting and bending and cutting and trimming and cutting and finally got a whole need patch panel snuggly installed inside the blower motor housing,, then used aluminum fiber reinforced tape to seal it up nice and tight.. I get it all buttoned back up, and test it,,, what a difference,,, the vents blew so good, it fluffered my hair,, and I felt a slight twinge of frost bite on my upper lip,, Yea,, blows real nice,,, Now the inner fender well,, that was a bit trickier,, I had to bend and twist and cut and bend just to get the right contour so I could attach it to the fender and inner fender well,, that is not an easy task to do,, What makes it worse, is,, I have to take the front tire off to get my screw gun in there and get that panel affixed,, But its all ready to go in,, Just have to wait till my neighbor gets a day off and can assist me on getting the wheel off and get it done,, Im in a position that I cant man handle the weight of that tire,, so having a helper is a major plus.
Thank goodness for roadside assistance when traveling,, aint no way I could change a tire... So,, Till next time,,, It was a productive day.
Now,, after you have read this whole post,, I could have made it shorter,, By just saying, I fixed a hole in the blower motor housing,, I cut piece of metal, fit it in place, sealed it, put blower motor back in, tested, it worked and called it a day,, But you know me,, lol I had to add a little detail for your enjoyment,, AND, I did it all without parental supervision,
Be safe, travel happy and make memories,
