I'm looking to purchase a 1977 Rockwood are these good class C to own? It has a 727 tranny with a 360 engine it's in excellent shape for its age but has sat for 3 yrs I'm a new RV owner

"I wish you good luck. I think Rich has the right idea though. It will suck going up after the sun has been baking it but should make it easier to scrape off. I sure hope it comes off easily."

"sun light will heat tar if you go up in the heat of the day and see if it is pliable to scrape with a paint scraper.Tar will be tacky. I think the flex seal sets up and probably not be tacky. good luck"

"From the one picture that loaded it looks like the PO used just whatever to coat the roof. Not a thought out process for sure. I would say to scrape off what you can, use Dicor tape to seal seams, Dicor self leveling caulk for all the screws around…"

Daniel where are you from? Here is another question how do I know what size brakes calipers etc I need I was told that it's on 5 1/2 ton axles?? Does this make sense?

I bet I have some Dodge parts around. Front Grille, tail lights off the Tioga, van doors (with very little rust on them). Mirrors. I even have the fresh water tank and potty! I salvaged another '77 Coachman to fix the LH1 but never did it.
