My new to me, 1977 Minnie Winnie(Dodge 360) came out of northern Wisconsin and was pretty much a mess. Had 7 new tires, $700 was the price I paid.
I shortened it up n length removing the portion behind the wheels, repositioned the door and rear window and left a 3 ft. deck in the process, ripped outthe plumbing and added a woodstove.
Well anyway it's much modofied but runs well(carb rebuilt, manifolds redone) and is now a bondocks camper-no running water, portable john, solar panels and LED lights). I still have the sleeper and the table area and ANTS. I eliminated the skylights and stretched a rubber roof over the top of the rig so it is water tight but I still have resident ants living somewhere in the skin.
I tried 6 ant traps made by Raid and that helped and i m getting to be very careful with open food but they persist.
Any ideas?

ps. I'd ad a picture if I knew how.

You mite have to set off a bug bomb,, ants are lil pesky critters and they can live within the insulation and every nook and crany available. I have used a dozen or so ant traps with very little success and ended up setting off a bug bomb and fumigating the whole interior. And when done ,I let it sit over night then air it out real good the following morning into the afternoon,. Just be sure to take all food and such out before doing so. Hope this helps.
I've had good luck getting rid of ants by mixing a little borax laundry soap (mule team brand?) with a little honey to hold it together as a paste. Put this in milk jug caps and set around where you see the ants traveling. They will take it back to the nest and kill all of them.
Thanks to all, read up on ants and the poison will work(I hope) if the workers take it to the queen.
i'm on it.

I bombed mine last week. There was what seemed like millions of dead ants. I guess they come out of hiding when you bomb it. I used a Raid bomb, which said it "lasts for months". Saw another live on in there yesterday. Might bomb it again and combine with bait.
Jim, All,
I just used the bait, commercial stuff called Terro.
Tooh about a week but they became fewer and fewer and then none.
I am overjoyed.
Thanks to all.

terro works great, just realize it will be a few weeks til all the ants are gone.it slowly kills the queen.i go through this every year at my home.
Amdro is the best ant poison on the market, and works great to keep the ants away from my camp site as well as out of my camper. Try it and you'll never use anything else.
