The greatest thing about getting a project RV,, isnt just to take something thats unique or different and re-do or rebuild.
It goes deeper then that. A lot of us here on GORV's, are the Baby boomer generation, (some older,, some younger). But our age group grew up wayyyyy before computers and color TV's especially flat screens.
During our younger years,, we watched Dad go to work, Mom stay home and hold the fort down and raise the kids. (excluding single moms and dads etc) We…

I have a old friend Ive known for many many years,, and hes a Diehard Bumper puller or go home in shame type of guy. He hates,, and I do mean Hates 5th wheel RV's. He complains that they have sooooooo much wasted space and harder to pull,, very unstable when towing, etc.
Now mind you,, hes a retired truck driver,(lol). He brings up the subject that 5th wheel RV's waste so much space up front because the hitch goes up over the bed of the truck,, leaving a huge area underneath that…

Having a blow out at 65mph is never fun,, in most cases, but can be quite exciting if your a road junkie, There is no feeling like white knuckling the steering wheel,, puckering up so tight you can taste your unders and yur lip is so curled it looks like a cheeto. Not to mention the fear in the ole eyeballs, Now if you have passengers or pets,, then they are doing a death grip on the grab handle or arm rest and are on the edge of a full blown spastic release of their bowels, Animals, just…

Ok peeps,,, I have to rant on this one.
When you are going to TOW a bumper pull trailer, Please Use the correct Hitch ball. Never ever expect a 1 7/8ths ball will work where a 2 inch or 2 7/8ths ball is required. And That break away cable... Dont attach it to the safety chain. Use the correct hitch ball,, put in a lock pin on your hitch, criss cross BOTH safety chans and connect the break away cable to the reciever hitch,, and make sure your lights are plugged in and…

I get a nice cheerful ring of the phone around 3;00 a/m, (Yes I'm still up watching something on TV and writing on my netbook). I hear,, wuzzzz up ya old fart!!!. (Its an old friend who runs a Hot Shot company. I reply,, umm contimplating the meaning of quatum physics and its effects on dehydrated drinking water,, why, wuzzz up on your end? A brief silence as the caller is trying to figure out what the heck I just said.He asks,, is your truck set up for some hauls? What a stupid question,, …
