As I sit in my Thermals, the wife in her robe,
We live in our 5th wheel, we call our adobe.
With the weather turning colder, and no snow on the ground
We figured ole Santa would still come around.
With no slant roof to land on, No chimney to slide,
Santa has for RV'ers ,customized his ride.
He cruises up in a sleigh flashing Bling,
He knocks on the door, and gives us a ring.
Instead of TV's,radio's and clocks,
He brings what we…

If your full timing,,, the rules are,, always prepare, Which apparently I failed to do,, as a seasoned full timer. Call it a Blonde joke moment, Brain Fart, oooops, or what ever comes to mind. I had initially prepared for the cold snap heading our way. Bought a NEW tangle proof, insulated, top of the line RV fresh water hose. And for precautionary measures,, double insulated it with foam pipe wrap AND Roll wrap insulation.( Being December, I always replace my fresh water hose whether it needs…

After having a couple conversations concerning *noises,,( you know,, things that go Bump in the night), I thought I would pass on some humor on this subject.
While deep in slumber all tucked tight under warm blankets,, the furnace set at a comfortable 68 degrees. Then in a slight sleep and not quite awake you hear a *tink,,tink, tink, You brush it off not thinking about it and attempt to drift off to la la land. Then that little tink, tink, tink, turns into a twangy clank clank clank.…

I posted a comment on RV products that are advertised as made in U.S.A.. Now don't get me wrong,, Other countries do make quality products along with respected manufacturers. The issue I have is inferior products claiming to be made some place they are not. I had only chose the made in U.S.A trademark stamp because there are numerous RV manufactureres and suppliers here.(Mostly Indiana). The big issue was the slightly more expensive product only offered a 30 day warantee.
And Murphy's…

I went and checked out a used RV, for a quick project,,,
*Ad says, 2008 Terry bumper pull, 25 ft, w/slide,
A/c furnace, stove, fridge all work. Great shape, Use for weekend trips or hunting. Ready to roll, $1500.00
Welllll,, alrightyyyyyyy then,, Off we go to check this bumber pull out.
I pull up, to check it out,,, seems to look pretty decent,,, a couple dings,, a little faded paint and graphics,, and tires are holding air. I ask about the cover across the front…

Hey GORV members,,,,, are ya'll ready for winter and the cold brrrrr winds, wet cold snow? Me neether. Well I can handle a pretty xmas morning with a nice coating of snow to set the mood,,, But after that it can all melt and go back to Human temps,, right around a comfy 75 degrees. One thing that has bothered me and I spent countless minutes searching the web for the answer to a particular question. When snow melts,,, where does the white go? Just something to ponder.
Its like while…

Considering its stormy weather outside,, I took the RV furnace out in between the down pours, Thank goodness for pop up canopy's.
My 92 Fleetwood 5th wheel has a Hydroflame 5330 furnace,, Atwood bought out the brand and labled it an Atwood 8531-11 model.
32,300 b.t.u. (4 ducts).
It wasn't rocket science to remove it,,, I started by disconnecting the thermostat wire, (red and white wire sleeved in a brown coated wire),
then disconnecting the 12 V power supply,,…
