MOTORHOMING FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Just got back from a short hop trip for the Christmas holiday. We call them mini vacations. Did not have any set driving plans, just stayed close to home to save gas money and ended up in Paridise, CA. We still love camping in our motorhome anyway. Rain on the roof and "I love a Mystery" on the radio. A trip to Oregon for Thanksgiving was our "big" vacation for the year. The motorhome ran like a champ and it was a great trip. Lots of fun with family.

Still loving it

Well we are still full-timin. Traded the TT for a class A,sold it,moved to Texas and bought an '81 Executive class A 38 ft Dodge M600 chassis 440-3 motor. Will be here for the forseeable future. Oh yes,we still live in it. Parked at my wife's mothers. Have several projects to work on. Will post pics when I get another harddrive. This one is way too small, only good to surf with. Ed

New Aristocrat

Hi everybody - I think this is one of the best RV websites around. We just bought a 1970 lowliner that has been completely re-done inside and out. I think its over kill and I spent way to much money for it. We still have our 66 lowliner and plan to sell one of them. (?) My question is this - the 70 lowliner is vary heavy and I pull it with a 86 3/4 ton chevy suburban the problem is I'm getting a lot of sway. I have installed a sway bar and shorten the hitch but it still is a little wobbly.… Continue

Should I buy This Classic Class C RV?

Well, ever since we wrecked our bumper pull travel trailer and suv on Colorado's grooved pavement a few months ago we've been in search for a good old Class C. Since I usually screw up buying classic campers, I though I'd ask my friends on goodoldrvs.com to give me their recommendations on buying a used class C motorhome. I found a 1989 Cobra Class C in Texas on Craigslist with a little over 30,000 miles on… Continue

1988 Winnebago Warrior restoration project

My wife and I have recently purchased a 1988 Winnebago Warrior motorhome based on a Toyota chassis. It is in desperate need of a interior refurbishing as well as some minor work on the exterior.

I have started another blog at www.toyota-motorhome,blogspot.com to document my process. We would like to take it to Florida next winter, so that is my motivation to get it completed. I will continue to update my blog with any… Continue

I could use some help!

I've got my eye on an old camping Trailer that has been just sitting behind a farmers barn for the past several years. The weeds have grown up around it and I know it has not been moved in the past 3 to 5 years.

I'm looking for a vintage camper to rehab as a project, and use for camping. What should I be looking for when evaluating an old trailer like this? I'm not afraid of having some work to do, but I don't want to put time and money into a bad trailer either. I know enough to… Continue
