Summer of Champ

So, we have been having such a great summer! We have gotten everything going in Champ except we haven't tried the water heater. Furnace, water pump, radio...all working! Engine's runnin strong also, we check the fluids often. We are looking to have another adventure this weekend - we've been taking Champ all over the state of Alaska and we might stick closer to home for some camping/hiking this weekend. It's starting to get chilly (ER) here and the leaves are changing - glad that furnace works!… Continue

81 Winnebago values/potential issues

So I drop by this yard sale in my neighborhood and notice this Winnebago there for sale.  I see its pretty clean looking, they're trying to get rid of it. '81 Winnebago "Brave" with 64k on it and its Chrysler 360 Engine. All mechanical records in a big fat book, with a note saying, "Sat for 5 years then bought, Mechanic says all it needs is to Run it for awhile and she'll be good".  I'd need to see the smoke on this one.  Black smoke good...Blue, no bueno.  I havent owned a Chrysler Engined…

Removing propane tank

Hi Everyone!  I've had a rough summer, but am now trying to get back on my renovation projects.  The exterior of Poco (see older posts) still looks great, even after sitting out in the heat of an Alabama summer.  She is also purring like a contented kitty.   Very happy with that!

My question is this - How do I remove the propane tank under my rig?  It is a class C, 24 foot, and the propane is on the street side, front corner.  There is access both through a drop down compartment door…

Urban RV Leveling

We had to go to Springfield OR. this weekend to do some work on our house there.  We would prefer to not have a house but with today's market we will keep it rented for a few more years.  We took the Cabana but parking was interesting.  Skinny streets and lots of crown in the road, might as well use it.  Below is our solution.

We have never used jacks or…

Once again I got some odd ball photos to show you

Since you were kind enough to post photos of my 1976 Honda CB750 custom build that I recently finished I wanted to show you the trailer I built for it to tow behind our old GMC camper.

It could have turned out better if I really took my time but I got this as a stripped down old pop up and it needed a lot of fixing.

I added a new floor-raised and extended the front so there was a "Bib" to protect the bike from rock and debris while towing. Added brand new lights and wheel…

At last! began rebuilding again !

'79 Minnie Winnie

Greetings all!

Purchased our Minnie Winnie a couple of months ago. We really didn't plan on restoring it, just spruce it up a bit
and use it as casino hopper. However one thing led to
another and now we are about 80% done with restoration.

Will post photos as I take them, have a nice day!!!!!!!!

Our annual July trip.

Every July, Joy and I spend a weekend at the Oregon Country Fair and a week at a Pirate event called "Seadog Nights".  This year they were back to back.  This is our time to make people smile and then play pirate for a week.  We hope you enjoy sharing a tiny bit of our alter ego's.

The Oregon Country Fair is in it's 43 year.  It is held on 450 acres and about 90 thousand people attend over a 4 day run.  Joy and I do two days.  It is a spectacle, you can watch it or be part of…
