Hi...need to insure my little oldie before I can put her into winter storage..any ideas on who will insure a '56 camper?
Finally, I never ever thought I would see this day! It's well overdue. It's been a year and we still have things to do, but today I can proudly say that she is painted on the outside! We now are going into the design process of what we want to paint on the outside.
It's been hard in 95° weather to get her done, but I am proud to say...the colors are on! We still have a few things to do…Continue
Hello everyone, I just bought a 1972 Starcraft, Starcruiser 22' in suprising good and all original condition. I'll add some pix soon. By good condition I mean "considering". Still a lot of work to be done. Been sitting awhile, but, you can tell this rv has been loved for most of it's life. Time to give it a second chance. As usual the first thing to tackle is the fiberglass roof.Anyone with any tips or Manuals will be appreciated. Thanx
Well, as promised in my first blog, George is getting a lot of attention. Am set up at Caldwell RV Park, Caldwell ID. I usually dry camp so am getting really spoiled being plugged in. Everything works...air conditioner, cable TV etc! Suppose to get Internet but if you aren't within spitting distance of the office, you can forget it.
Am really tossing around the idea of becoming a Fulltimer and realized that you need a whole lot more storage space than there is. Up in the bed area,…Continue
For the longest time I have had problems with my trailer not being stable at hi-way speeds. Thought the problem was in the trailer. But no the problem was my tow vehicle. Over the years the front end became worn out. I had the front end re-built and added stabilisers front and rear. Cost about $300 dollars. My tow vehicle is a 86 Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton with a 454.
We have a 1991 Grandville motor home. It has a Cummings engine but, we think we have a Chrysler chassis because right is right and left is left. What we are trying to find out is the steering box, we need to replace ours. Any help would be grateful.
There have been so many uses over the years for my 1977 Free Spirit Motor Home that I've decided to update her into the current world of technology by renaming her my Activity Support Vehicle (ASV). Ever since I painted her back in 1998, she is mistaken for a 1978 model. This upgrade and restoration project may be compared to taking anti-oxident supplements by a human. My ASV has been completely restored structurally from the inside out. The skin has been left on the old fish, but all…Continue
looking for any information on the 1972 dodge Chinook 2500 class A motorhome...made from 1971-1973. HELP
Whew! What a day! I'm tired! Painting is NOT good for arthritis...I can tell ya that for sure! Ackck! We started this morning off by washing the trailer off with STP, rinsing, drying, taping, and then going to breakfast! (At this point we were just already too tired to make something! LOL!)
At 94° it has made painting a bit of a chore. We've got about half done with most of the pink painted and half of that needs a second coat. Every where you see blue, it will be…Continue
DSC03073.JPGWell all the painting and touch up has been completed and she got thru a safety inspection in grand style; I am posting some pics of her in the post body work and primer stage. I intend to post some painting tips that may be of help to others as soon as I can get the time. Most of the interior pics have been posted on the Glastron forum.
Little Rosie will be going out for the first time in September! Whoohooo! We've been doing little odds and ends and the "plan" is painting...on Sunday! If we want to take her out...she has to be painted and we only have 3 weeks...so it needs to get done! Life is just too busy!
Super, duper EXCITED!!!!
