My husband and I have been chatting all day while he is at work and looking on line. Do I do it? Will it work out? I am so up in the air about it...I just don't know...but....
I found this 2016 REISSUE 16' Shasta in Iowa. Now, I am in Washington state. I have talked to the salesmen and a finance guy and we will know something tomorrow by 2pm.
I really don't know if I should do this as being almost killed sticks in my mind every moment with the other…
ContinueWe were delivered some bad news today. Our beloved Bertha not only needs her transmission rebuilt but also needs new brakes. She came to us for free but now it looks like we need to invest approximately $5,000 in order to get her up and running. We are emotionally invested in Bertha but $5,000 on our salaries is a serious commitment. We are both dreamers and love adventure so we are already leaning toward biting the bullet. In reality we have five more years until all of our children…

Hey Everyone...
Hope you are well. I haven't been on in quite some time as my feelings go back and forth. At this point there is a part of me that wants another vintage tin can, and then I shy away. I've looked in Craig'slist in Washington and honestly I cannot believe what I am seeing.
For a P.O.S. people want $6,000 up to $20,000 which is absolutely absurd. If I was to get another, at this point I would get one that is redone as I don't think I could poor…

We had a very productive weekend! After our Sunday plans went awry we decided to take a trip to Marden's. For those of you who aren't privileged to live in the northeast, you may not know the pleasure of Marden's; it's a surplus salvage store where you can discover the most random and amazing things amongst a lot of junk. We went looking for duck cloth to reupholster the dinette cushions as well as the cushion on the back couch/bed. Our first attempt was thwarted by an overly aggressive…

Has Anyone ever done their own Duplication of the Thermo-Panels used by Winnebago in their first RV'S?. Other than the heat, pressing. It would seem possible to fabricate close to the original.
And as I have a Roof that has structural sagging. I Chose not to just brace up the panels and just add
an additional layer of thin, structural plywood. Or 3/4 inch T&G. I have found a company that make newer stuff for trailers. But I would like to save the cost (if feasible) by…

Spring is here, I have been working on my recently acquired '85 E350 based Coachman Classic class c MH. Mostly all original except for prior owner replaced the refer and gen. I am replacing non functional roof AC and applying liquid rubber to roof. After that will clean the exterior, redo trim tape and apply 5 coats of Zep wax.
On a more active front, we have scheduled our 1st weekend in our 1997 Newmar American Star 30' 5th wheel to the Washington coast in 10 days. We will join two…

I started this earlier. We just bought a 1988 Venture 32 foot travel trailer. No one seems to know anything about it & there seems to be quite a few mysteries. Are there any good detectives out there who may know something about these trailers? I had never heard of this brand but wife fell in love with the interior so we bought as is , where is.

The search for just the right fabrics has begun. From the upholstered cushions to the myriad of curtains that need to be made, there is a lot of opportunity to bring some amazing color to the inside of Bertha! I can't wait to order the fabrics and to have them meet my sewing machine! Spring, will you hurry up and arrive here in the northeast!

If you've been following my Bluebird school bus conversion you know I have more installments to come. I haven't stopped. I just haven't had time to update. Which I will do shortly.
But I thought I'd tell you about another project I've picked up that I will be working on at the same time. I've always wanted a small camper that I could use for weekend trips and not have to take the…
