Pat and everyone else it's been a LONG while since I posted. Finances have kept me sidelined from traveling and enjoying my rig BUT I was blessed with a trip to Pigeon Forge, I am here now.
Hope you don't mind Pat that I am enclosing a link to my blog. Have no time to post in multiple sites. I am sending part one and if you care check back in and read the rest.
Heres the blog:…Continue
I have had the bed section partition walls made for weeks now. But I had a CD player/radio that I wanted to use in the van. I shaped up a board with a form fitting hole to accept the radio and cut a matching hole in the front partition to hold the radio- obviously I needed 110 volts to run it . I am planning on making a section of extension cord that will attach to the beaker box and then this will feed the receptacles in the van. Can't install this stuff until I get the walls done.
I thought I would post a few pix of various projects I have done. This dining room table and chairs was bought at an auction in SC for $15 of course it was in broken pieces after 3 months of working on it and making parts for the chairs this is what I ended up with.…Continue

She's not the Style Liner I've been trying to buy from the 'hoarding farmer' but she's mine! Soon as it warms up, I'll put my carpenter to work on the mess someone made putting in a microwave--and then roll on a whole lot of Kilz. Then pick a color that…Continue

Finally got the walls insulated with foam core with metalized film over that I added 6 inch thick R-19 fiberglass so it should be nice and cozy and pretty much sound proof. Also insulated the bed strutcure walls with foam core to help with keeping noise down.
Now on to installing the plywood on the interior walls.
Okay finally snapped a few pix to show the ongoing work. I used cardboard to make templates for the rear corner walls and also the beginnings of an overhead console.…Continue
Hi, We need to find either an air compressor or a kit to rebuild one for our 1979 GM V8 71 diesel engine. Also we need a rebuild kit or another alternator for this motor. Do any of you have an idea of who we could contact about these? Sure would appreciate your help. Thanks and God Bless, Larry & Gaylo Howard
As if I don't have enough projects going ,I recently got a 1995 Dodge B1500 cargo van. It is a V-6 which is good for me. Runs and drives super. Started working on the in interior to insulate and panel the walls with plywood. Just finsihed up the rear inside corners today. The wood floor is down too.
Plus still laying out the patterens for the woodgrain I will be putting on my old GMC camper.
I have been intocustom vans for a long time so this one will be the 7th or 8th that I…Continue

While doing a little snow birding in Florida, I ran across a couple guys out on the lake where I was fishing that was camping in the same park as me. After some small talk over the bass, they told me if I needed to upgrade my camper to check them out. They own a company called RV Wholesale Campers and he kind of gave me a gist of the prices on everything. I'm not in the market to buy anything new now, but it was definitely below…Continue

Well Pat, I didn't really celebrate New Years, but I did finish a project that I had put off for several months! I posted a while back about going to drain a full black water tank and having the push/pull rod break. I finally fixed the rod and caulked the slide valve together so it doesn't leak. A further part of the plan was to thoroughly clean my 1970 toilet. I…Continue
