Lots of work being done the past few days. The new ceiling is in and the interior is painted and the floor tiles are down. We took out the old folding couch and cut the bottom of the cushion frame down to make it shorter (sort of love seat size so we could install a desk for Cat's computer. Finished up the new seat frame too.
Here are a few sneak peeks at the color scheme...…

As reported earlier we ripped up the old carpet and found some rot..not much but enough to warrant a repair Never though that Cat and I would get it all done yesterday! We have decided to install tile because we will be traveling with a small dog and cat. It should be easier to keep clean.…

We busted butt yesterday to get all the ceiling pieces cut from hardwood 1/4 paneling after each piece was measured and cut we coated the top side with water proof sealer. After it is installed we will varnish the panels. Also installed a new dead bolt entry lock.
Today we will attack the ceiling and start to install the panels.

Finally got the first coat of sealer on the roof and managed to gut the ceiling of the stained and rotted stuff.
Going to use sub-flooring because one side is smooth and even grained and will stain and varnish nicely. Also as a precaution I will treat the tops of the panels with water sealer from Olympic after I cut them to size. This side will go up towards the roof rafters. here are a few pics…

We sold our Shasta 38 foot motor home and downsized a bit to a 1979 GMC "Good Life"
It was well used but came with a brand new small block 400.
So far we replaced the carb and all the clearance lights-repaired the A/C shroud made a new refrigerator vet cover and will replace a rear roof vent. We also installed a newer rear ladder. All told the chassis has 61,000 on it.
There is some interior damage due to the A/C evaporator being plugged and leaking down into the A/C…

Saw a 1973 Aristocrat truck camper on Craig's list. Same flooring, wallpaper and bathroom as my coach. The more I search...the more I think I have a one-off Aristocrat motor home built before the American Clipper line began.
