Hi all, I have not disappeared off the planet! Been working feverishly in my back yard removing old dead Maple trees and getting the ground ready for a garden. Still have a mess but it is taking shape. Got the corn, collards and a few tomato plants in the ground as well as sweet peas. Also took some time to build a composter out of a 55 gallon steel drum.
Got big plans for the end of the month! There is going to be a get together for those who are into vans. Lots of very custom vans…

Hey Gang,
Here I am where I wasn’t supposed to be but am anyways. Malinda rented a cabin in Hocking Hills and invited Ruth and I Wednesday through Saturday. The cabin was supposed to be big enough for 4 so she said I could ask someone else also. Ruth initially said NO then I thought she said yes so I told Malinda we’re coming and so is Dov. Ruth then said I never said yes - I am not going.
Malinda then emailed and said the cabin is MUCH smaller just one room but if you want you can…

Peoplr I got it from was guessing on year. MC could stand for Marcellus ????? any ideas. Guy from title office said it could be a short VIN because of age??????????? HELP

Been looking online for a power cable for the Sea Witch van project. Found a 25 foot 12 gauge 3 wire heavy duty extension cord on Amazon.com for 18.00 plus shipping..which is very cheap if you have ever priced them.
Got it in the mail and yesterday hooked it up to the mail electrical junction box at the rear of the van. Plugged it in to the house power and low and behold the van did not burst into flames nor did any circuit breakers go berserk ! Now I have 110 power when parked at a…

I have been following the discussion regarding cleaning of exterior aluminium, and discovered the comment Gord's cleaner. I gave it a try, and although it did a great job of cleaning, and gave a good LOW luster shine, is that the best to expect from anodized aluminium?
Thanks,
Kenn in North Carolina

Well it is time to change out the old tired batteries in my GMC Class C -Got a couple of new batteries and after working on my van I decided to do some work on the camper. Prying the old battery out was a chore! They sure don't leave you a lot of room to remove the battery. The problem is that the battery tray is up so high that with the height of the battery you barely have room to lift the battery out from under the front fender. Plus the tray was rotted and rusted. Solution was to remove…

Got back a day early from the shake down cruise to the lower end of the state. Gotta say I am more convinced about the Chrysler products since my old van 129,000 miles gave me almost 19 MPG in the mountains! She ran flawlessly the whole way we put a little over 600 miles on her this weekend.
Reason for the trip was that my GF who is a photographer as well was scheduled to do a photoshoot of a Belly Dancing event on Friday and Saturday. Had a great time!

Hey Gang
A very late review and thank you. Why do I even include late? You guys know me by now.
The 2013 Freezefest went perfecto! 14 people showed. It always hovers around that number.
Paul volunteered to arrive early and lend a hand setting up. We arrived about 2:30 and by 5:30 the tarps were hung by the chimney with care in hopes of friends would soon be there....whoops got carried away. It takes that long to prepare and get things ready.
We had more than enough…

Just finished up adding the hand made wooden accents for the dash and the doors. Rustic beaten and weathered looking wood veneer to round out the nautical look.
When I get back fro my trip I will begin to finalize the far rear section with carpeted door panels hidden storage for lug wenches-jacks etc and close off the rear spare tire storage area from view.…

While enjoying some time down in a resort in Pigeon Forge, I was noticing a lot of people with those Toy Hauler campers. I always enjoyed biking when I was growing up on the weekends when I was off work. I was interested in getting back into it again and would love to get a Toy Hauler to haul my bike in. One that I really love is one that is a Raptor 300MP that I saw a man and…

Just joined the site so thought I should introduce myself.
I am the owner of a 1978 Pace arrow. I bought her on Ebay in England and as you can see she had been badly treated for a long time.
The last owner had put in an oldsmobile V8 diesel which he assured me was good! It made 16 miles and blew up!! not a bad thing realy as it couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding.
After being towed to my friends house we set about finding a power plant.Petrol being so expensive over…
