I finally came to accept that Juno is never going to be done. There's always going to be another project. And, that sooner or later I have to get on the road "imperfect". Don't chuckle so hard, this was difficult for me to come to terms with!
So, sooner is better than later. Next week a shakedown cruise over to Tennessee and then that weekend, if all goes well, I'll get on the road west.
She's currently at the new mechanic's for a last bit of work. My…

Finally,,, The Texas heat is fading back to a comfortable swelt. When its triple digits,, ambition to tinker and fix and what not outside is pretty much zero. But now the temps have gone down to a crisp yet balmy upper 90's. (remember anything below 70 is parka weather and snow boots for Texans) I was going through my to done do did list (say that 3 times fast). And was checking off the things that got done did, done it, done it, done it, done it, kinda done it,, dont want to do it …

Gots a fresh cup of coffee,, check the local news,, yup,,, Got a good feeling. I finish my coffee,, head outside,, gonna get some weed eating done and get them pesky weeds along the edges of the trailer. Piece of cake, Gets out the ole weed eater,,, fill the premix up, push the primer bulb, squish, squish, squish, squish,, set the carb lever on…

I don't think I like the direction my garage contents are going. It's starting to look waaaaay too much like a mechanics' cave. When there is a torn apart carburetor in the middle of the room, and dirty grimey rags everywhere, the smell of gas despite draining it before bringing it in...grease tracks on the floor, all kinds of cans of cleaners and lube sprays here and there,...and should I mention the mower deck torn apart on the other side of that? I s'pect next year I'll have a full…

If your in any of the areas of the evacuation in or around Florida, and you have to bug out,,Take your RV, (if you have one road ready). With the mass amount of people vacating, Motels and hotels are booked and packed solid, and several evacuation relief centers are at max capacity.
Several RV Parks in safe zones are offering free spaces to park and Walmart and Sports centers and malls are also open for parking.
When you do *bug out with your RV, fill your fresh water tank…

Hey Gang
Hard to believe the summer season is over. The warm weather arrived late, my garden did OK but not the best, did some car shows and book signings, some backyard gatherings, Columbus for a Constitution Party meeting, WV to visit Ed, Holmes County - Amish Land, no Beach but a few day trips Salamanca NY was one, work was very steady thank God and Trump, and this Labor day, car show Saturday in MOL, Geauga Fair on Sunday and picnicking and hiking with Walt and his family, and Ruth…

Let me thank everyone for allowing me to use this site to hopefully find an old retro RV and restore it to it's former glory.
A little about me first. I am 67 year old man retired with an itch to use some of the skills I have learned in my working career. After 20 years I retired from Hatteras Yachts. I was considered a Master Craftsman. For those that…

Here is subject that I havent come across in awhile. I was going thru my crayon scribbles on construction paper, The dangers of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Most, (not all ) RV's use Gas appliances, Stove, water heater, Furnace ,Fridge. Thats a lot of flame if you think about it. Little candles burning 24/7 until a demand is needed,, then it becomes a Blow torch.
Now all of these appliances have (or supposed to ) have a clear exhaust vent to vent the poisonous gas outside. All it takes…

Its getting to be that time of the year fellow RV's. Yup, old man winter is going to be apon us in a very short period of time. Do you know what that means? Time to winterize if your going to store your rig or trailer, But if your a full timer,,, Winter checklists still have to be performed,
Now with winter,, it brings the BRRRR COLD, No matter where your parked,, there is going to be a cold spell pass thru and possibly hang around,, and that means you need heat. No you can be el…

.....way too much gas. My carburetor is flooding out, brother says it's due to a sticky float. Well, okay.....
He says this is a 4 barrel carburetor, but cannot tell me the make. I can't see anywhere on this what the make etc. is, to look anything up on it.
He also says "I would just remove those hoses and those 4 bolts and take the carb out to clean the float". Har har har.....
there's all kinds of stuff attached to this thing.
So....can anyone tell me any info about…

Just in case anyone was wondering, the work is still in progress on Diggity Dodge. I've had to limit my strenuous activities to stop burning off more than I put in as far as nutrition/calories. Being underweight is no fun and causes health issues too.
On to the progress...I have the kitchen wall almost finished with the Luan. Just a couple of small areas on the sides to cut and fit.…
