Hi, this is my first time posting/blogging, so hope I am doing it right. The front of my 1968 Aristrocrat Lowliner is in need of some TLC but I'm not sure how to proceed. I figured the ugly brown added on tin piece in front was hiding something but was surprised when I took it off to see the big rip across the front. From what I…

Hi folks....I'm looking into to replacing the leaf springs on my '56 Terry. The previous owners thought it was too difficult to change a tire because the camper is low, so they had the leaf springs put on top of the axle. Now the camper is about 2.5 feet off the ground. I'd like to switch and lower the camper, but not sure if current situation is a good one or not to keep? I just brought my camper home from sellers and didn't quite master backing it up into the storage spot perfect, but…

Hey Gang,
What an interesting weekend of finding treasures.
Saturday I went to the auction and arrived at my usual time of 10 pm. This auction starts at 6 and has been known to go into the wee hours of the night. One time it lasted till 4:30 am. They stay until all items are gone or people stop buying.
Unfortunately this time I bought only one small box of junk for $1.00 before they said thanks for coming. But there were a few things of merit in the small pile, scroll saw…

Up on the roof for the 1st time today. Holy Moley! Flashed 1 side of the a/c & moved to the other. Realized why it leaks so badly. Previous owner flashed over rusty seams. Kind of scared about what I uncovered. Have to grind down the rust & see if there's any roof left. Looks like there's at least 1 if not 2 other spots like this. Grrrrr... Hopefully won't fall through.

Just bought this motorhome. Its a 1979 Commodore Monitor by Holiday Rambler. It is a class C on a Ford E350. It has the 351 Windsor engine and C6 trans. It is the rear bathroom model. Does anyone know anything about this model or hopefully can get me hooked up with some electrical diagrams or any litterature. Have pictures posted.

We've had too much rain to pop out the large side window so I could put in the last of the new plywood. Yesterday was clear so I had at it. Of course the screw heads were rusted in place and just spun without moving. So I had to twist them out like this. 50 screws in all and 37 of them had to come out a half turn at a time. I was going to drill the…

Yesterday I bought a 1955 Spartan Royal Mansion. It is not in the greatest of shape but I believe it to be restorable. The other option it to part it out so that others needing parts for their restorations could take advantage of the parts. Here are some of the things that are salvageable:
Interior cabinets, Kitchen sink, hall clothing closets with drawers, most window fixtures are serviceable or at best reusable/restorable.
The front sofa, the back bedroom, and the bathroom…

Anyone have any experience with air shocks on a 1964? Even with new leaf springs the front end is low. I have read about lift blocks and could easily machine some up but don't know about handling.

Can the '56 Terry brake system be replaced when they wear out? Current owner does not use the brakes and suggested I don't either as they are not replaceable Any info on this issue, thanks.

I recently checked on my travel trailer which has been sitting in storage several months and I noticed the upper front end has warped. it looks like bubbles (under the skin). is this due to the elements? I guess its to late to invest in a cover. it does get windy and hot where its stored. anyone have any opinions as to how this damage may be occurring? trailer is 09 passport ultralight.
