In my travels, I have put a couple hundred miles up and down the old roadways, and I have noticed (as Russ mentioned), not many RV'ers wave back,You pass them and give them a friendly wave and you usually get the Hairy eyeball or the frown. Seriously? Even at fuel stops, you see a fellow RV'er, and either wave or say hello, and you get the cold shoulder,,(can feel the frost even on a 100 degree day). Now, there are a few and I mean veryyyyyyyy few that will wave back or even acknowledge your…

I recently purchased a new device to clean my sewer tank with called a "Rhino Blaster" that allows for connection of a back flush hose. It seemed like a great idea until I discovered the connection on the new device will not fit on my RV sewer black water drain. I have a 1988 Fleetwood Bounder. Is there a universal connection device so modern equipment will fit older units?

Day 1, Monday 8-22-16:
I was planning on leaving the house at 2PM today, so as per usual we left at 3PM. Which is better than the 4PM it would normally have been. When DW finally realized that US 412 is mostly a 2 lane highway she got noticeably upset. Being the well trained husband that I am I answered "Yup, it sure is." maybe not one of my better responses but it got the point across and dagger stares for the next 50 miles.
For those of you who have not traveled US 412 across…

This ole Wolf is fur frazzled, and jet lagged. We survived bumpy roads, stooopid people, road construction, detours, rain, high winds, more stooopid peoples. Truck stop coffee, fast food, sleeping hind quarters, bug eyes, crossed eyes, and more stooopid peoples. Its amazing that 80% of the drivers who are texting at 70mph are not wrapped around a tree some where,, leaving the other 20% causing major accidents. I lost count of the many ,many close calls of being hit as drivers change lanes or enter…

Made the trip straight through to lower Michigan, uneventful, keeping the 5 'er in tow around 60 ish. Got funny looks do to having the Dodge play the part of "toad". Looked liked I was getting the assistance of the Dodge pushing. Upgrading the tow bar with 70/30 stabilizer shocks made a huge difference with and free sway and road bounce. ( I opt'ed out using the tow dolly this trip and kept all 4 wheels on the ground). Made the 1st of many visits, caught up with what's what and headed on to…

...into a small trailer.
I'm selling my truck and buying a van, so I don't need the two camper projects I've gathered. I only have one set of jacks, so if I get rid of the '68 Frolic, and keep the (approx) '70 Real-Lite, I was thinking of cutting off the cab-over bunk, and slicing off the two feet at the back that currently has no floor and fixing it up and attaching ti to a trailer frame.
I could leave the two feet on the back, it'll have the trailer floor…
ContinueI am in the process of restoring an Aristocrat Lo-Liner camper (don't know the year-how do I find it?) and have a two electric lights and one propane lamp that I don't need as well as a broiler tray for the oven. The 2 electric lights are the ones that attach to the ceiling. If anyone needs them and would like them free I can send them to you.You can call or text Shawn at 203-218-5333 (I don't have a pic of the propane lamp-forgot to do that)…

Hi everyone: I have recently joined Good Old RV's and love the site. Once I get some work done on my Leocraft, I will post some pics. My goal is to have it on the road for the start of Walleye season in 2017. I also have to spend a lot more time on the site to get to know it better. So far, so good! Bob.

Learning all kinds of terms of late. Residency, Domicile etc.
I currently reside, domicile, live in Montana. I am a "Full Time RV'r " With no address. YIIKES!!! I guess that can be an issue with the governments.
I would love to stay a resident of Montana but, I see most people change to a more friendly "residency" state like SD, FL, and TX. I want to keep my wife's plates on this MH (since she picked out the picture) and I…

Hi! Am trying to find a door handle for my 1976 Skamper (Not Scamp, an entirely different brand). I have checked with RV dealers, and several junk motor homes. All the handle/lock inserts are larger. The opening is 2 1/2" wide, and 3" high. Any idea qwhere to locate one? This is the lever handle, not knob style as in a house. No RV junk yards around here. This was missing when I purchased the trailer.
