I am planning to buy a lake lot to put my 15 foot Lark trailer on.  I will have a deck built and will be leaving the trailer there for long periods of time.  Should I remove the tires and if so, what do I set the trailer on?  I would appreciate any information.

first of all this rig has is deplorable, it has sat in 1 spot for years. and the ocupant abaned it.  It had a leak in the water cell, and it rotted the floor from the kicthen to the bathroom, the only thing keeping someone from falling thugh the floor is the carpent, and lanolim. I had to take the floor and cabnets out. so far the water heater is propane gas, and I am reluctant to remove that, I am going to remove the heater though, and take off the air…

I have had a long time love of old campers.  It's cliched,but it was prob an Airstream that caught my eye as a kid.

Growing up we were a tent camper family.  For many years we packed up a family car, and drove all over this great country, tenting it all he way.  By the time I was 14 I had traveled thru, camped in, and seem the sites in 38 states (I've added some more as the years past since).

On to the present.  Always enjoying the older campers I saw growing…

I know the community of young families that full time isn't a huge one. But we are joining the small group. We have 3 small kids, under 8 years old. They are super excited for this adventure. And so are we.  So as far as the kind we are looking for, I think we have decided on a c-class bunk house. 

We are stepping out into the unknown, and beginning our full time RV life. We will be purchasing our first RV this month (hopefully) And we are wondering if any experienced fulltimers would have any advice for us, on how to tell if an RV has dry rot? and stuff to look out for when buying an older used RV. 

I have been engineering and designing rv's since I was 19. I'm almost 47 and still loving it. Not that I would ever one-up anyone, I got to play around with a "Bar option" on a decent budget.
