the country that have at least one thing in common...adventure!.
We fly fish, we camp, we ride horses, and attend cowgirl college. We share recipes and
heartaches. We go antiquing and a little 'junk-tiquing'. We search out old trailers and turn them into
fancy hotels on wheels. We chat, we laugh, cry and support one another and best of all…

Check out my blog to view the trailer for the movie: http://myrtleandme.blogspot.com/2011/06/23-feet.html
From the 23 Feet website: "23 Feet is film about a community of people who make the conscious choice to live simply to do what they love in the great outdoors. Three women set out across the west in their 23 foot, 1970 Airstream to search for the stories of people who…

Hello....we just returned from our 4 day Southern Indiana Vintage Camper Rally at FOWLER PARK & PIONEER VILLAGE. What a HOOT we had this year! This was our 3rd year for this event, and the 1st time at Fowler Park & Lake...it WON'T be our last! We had over 150 campers in attendance, 53 vintage trailers and many well behaved children and pets. It started off hot and muggy, but by Sunday the temperatures were getting pretty comfortable. We had a very well attended HUGE "Show &…

Hi! We just bought our first motorhome. We had a couple of slide-ins (still have the big S & S, plus truck, that we're hoping to replace) and a parade of used 5th wheels, before buying new in '04. (We live fulltime in it--the MH is our escape vehicle!) We've had to fix more stuff on the 'new' one than we ever did on any of the used ones! Go…

Hi everyone, I am in Rhode Island. I love the outdoors and I have never restored a trailer before. Right now, between getting my garden going and housework (very little of that LOL) I have been restoring vintage sewing machines. Yes, that is quite a jump, but I have been following blogs and websites on vintage trailers and one day I saw a fixer-uper on Craig's list and had to have her.…

I just got a 1979 29' AVCO..can't find much on the interent....
anyone else have one or know about them. It was definitely
a high priced, quality rig in it's day...(still is in amazing, near mint original condition.
Is it related to Travco?
Thanks,
Mitch

Because of the many miles of nearby hiking trails, the sheer beauty of the Ouachita Mountains, the relative proximity to my home, the rich local history, and the fact that noisy boats are severely restricted on the lake, this park and the surrounding Ouachita National Forest have been my lifelong-favorite destination for recreation and relaxation.
Cedar Lake…

As I've aged, I have begun to learn an important secret about life -- Life events tend to come full circle. People I met ten or twenty or thirty years ago, and haven't seen since, will occasionally cycle back…

We bought a 1968 Roadrunner in Jan and have been working on it, a little piece at a time since then. Now it's time to really deconstruct the body of the RV. The roof and front skins are off. We are about the trace the arcs and angles of the outside of the camper and remove the side panels. The rest of the deconstruction should be easy. Of course the rebuild, that's another story.
I have before and during pictures to upload when I can.
