Can I get some advice, I bought this motor home in 2004 and it was (was) in pretty good looks and shape. But due to me being sick a lot it went down hill. Once we were pulling it and we went about 25 miles and At one point I herd an explosion
so we stopped and checked it out and it smelled like something was burning but nothing ever materialized, so we contuned our jouurney until we reached our destination and I backed it in the RV park not a fancy place at all, rough territory. any way…

Types of RVs
The term "Recreational Vehicle", or more commonly, "RV," describes approximately ten broad classes of highly-mobile residences, sometimes called "campers." Perhaps some RVs could be called "campers" but as you read this article you will learn that some "houses on wheels" are so luxurious it is difficult to call them a "camper." Recreational vehicles are unlike "manufactured housing" or "trailer houses"…

Hello everyone! I hope today finds you well!
I am blogging you all in hopes that someone can help me find parts for my 1973 Winnebago Brave or other EARLY to MID 70's WINNEBAGO or other RV. Please help me if you can!
Like so many of you, I am continuously working to restore my 1973 Winnebago Brave and need some help locating some parts.
I have attached two photos; the first photo shows two different rear view mirror housings complete with end caps. The first set in…

I'm new to this site, but I always enjoy telling camping stories. I use to have a motorhome, but we traded it in at a dealership and got a new Coachman Chapparal 5th wheel. My family really loves it. I take my 2 grandsons with me almost every where of the summer. I really want to get some good accessories. I'm looking for a good place to buy RV parts though. I've been buying them from camping world and they're prices have been high compared to others after I shopped around. Right now i'm…

Last night, western Oklahoma received its first frost of the season. At this point, the trees haven't begun to change color. I suppose the early frost will shock them into getting serious about the business of shutting down their green chlorophyll factories for the…

It's been a while since I joined and posted but I thought I'd give a quick update.
I spent every weekend of the 1st 3.5 months inspecting and repairing the Rolling Turd, (oh btw that's what the family named her), for the possibility of a trip from SLC to LV for the Bikefest rally.
Well, I got her done hooked up the bike trailer and off we went.
With the exception of no top end (maxed at 56mph) and a slight heating issue she ran down and…

It’s amazing how our brains retain a few fleeting, fairy-tale snapshots of scenes from our earliest childhood. I hold maybe a dozen of those odd images which, for whatever reason, were burned into my memory. My younger brother is included in each of those mental snapshots, and in each one he is wearing diapers. Because he is 18 months younger than me, I can accurately…

Hi! My name is Helen and I'm 64 years old. I created this blog as sort of a nudge to myself. When I see that age 64, I think oh dear, I'm too old to start over, what am I thinking?? But I just don't feel it yet. I'm feeling pretty good, no major medical problems, knock on wood! ouch! :)
These are just my thoughts right now, but I feel I'm right on the edge of making a huge change in my life. It will take many baby steps, I know. So I created this blog hoping for…

was looking forward to my first overnighter in the Mt. Baker National Forest this weekend, but in an attempt to tune up my '72 Winnie, have a broken plug. Have tried PB Blaster & easyout...what now?
Guess I'll be tenting it!

I built a small camper that measures 6' wide x 9' long and is 5' tall. Though I can't stand fully upright in it, I wanted a lower profile camper for fuel economy and to load my canoe uptop. I started with a next to new heavy duty utility trailer that I purchased locally from Craigslist for $300.00. The trailer is a 5' x 8' trailer. I built the floor and camper shell out of 3/4" plywood and used 2x3" cross members for the roof which I covered with luon before the Aluminum went on. I used…

We all have those projects in life that seem to never get finished. All the moxie and determination seems to wane after a while, and what started as a fire quickly dwindles down to a smoldering ember. THEN! Along comes your second wind, and it's just enough to blow gently on the ember and bring it back to a roaring blaze!
Such it is with projects like…

Hello again everyone, hope all is well, and you are finding pleasure in your pursuits.
Last time I posted, I had a little less than half of the new roof completed. This time I have some shots of the completed roofing (well almost! :) just waiting for the rest of the aluminum extension to be installed before sealing the joints and edges with Eternabond Webseal, which will then get a coating of Liquid Rubber, the only liquid EPDM roof coating available.
The…
